Above-ground trampolines in Belfast
This is the trampoline most people picture: a frame on legs, standing on the grass, with a safety net around it. BERG calls it a Regular trampoline. Nobody has to dig, so what lies under a Belfast lawn does not matter, and you can take it with you if you move house.
We deliver 26 of them to Belfast, priced from €449 to €4,999. Two things decide which one in this city. The first is space, because many Belfast gardens are small. The second is wind, because a trampoline on legs with its net up is the type that catches it. Both are covered below.
Small gardens: start with the small sizes
Belfast has the lowest share of detached homes of any council area in Northern Ireland (12.3% at the 2021 Census) and the highest share of flats (19.7%). A council housing paper counted about 42% of the city's homes as terraced in 2011. Plenty of families here are working with a short back garden or a yard.
BERG's clearance is the same whatever the trampoline: 2 m free at the sides and 7 m overhead, on level ground. In a small garden that clearance takes more room than the trampoline does, so measure the level ground first. These are the above-ground models up to 280cm. Our guide to trampolines for small Belfast gardens works through the measuring.

Wind and anchoring in Belfast
With the net up, a trampoline on legs gives the wind a lot to push against. Storm Éowyn showed what a bad day looks like here. On 24 January 2025 the Met Office put all of Northern Ireland under a red warning and recorded gusts of 92 mph at Killowen and 85 mph at Orlock Head, both in Co. Down.
No two gardens take the wind the same way. A yard closed in by terraces is not a hillside plot with an open view. Look at where the wind reaches your garden before you fix on a spot, and anchor the trampoline wherever it stands.
What BERG advises
- Anchor the trampoline.
- Take the safety net and the padding off before a heavy storm.
- Check the anchors once the storm has passed.
There is more in wind and ground in Belfast: what it means for a trampoline.
The two anchor kits we sell
Both kits fit any make of trampoline standing on grass. Ground anchors do not hold in a patio, concrete or gravel. Check them after every named storm and tighten or re-seat any that have lifted. Ordered with a trampoline they travel free; on their own, delivery is €11.99.
Trampoline Anchors, 4 Pack with Straps
Four galvanised steel corkscrew anchors with four webbing straps and buckle tensioners. The straps go over the frame and can be tightened again when the ground softens.
Adjustable, and easier to take out again.
€55was €59.99
Universal Trampoline Anchors (8)
Eight galvanised ground stakes, 30cm long, one over the frame at each leg. Eight covers most round trampolines up to 14ft.
More fixing points. Not adjustable.
€55was €59.99
Level ground, lawn for choice
BERG needs level ground under every trampoline. Belfast rises to the Belfast Hills in the north and west and to the Castlereagh Hills in the east, so sloping gardens do exist here. Measure only the part that is level.
The surface matters too. nidirect's trampoline safety advice is to stand a trampoline on energy-absorbing ground, and not on concrete, tarmac or hard-packed mud unless there is absorbent safety matting. Ground anchors need soil to hold in as well. A paved yard is a harder place for a trampoline than a lawn, so tell us what yours is like.
The two alternatives to legs
An InGround trampoline, from €339, is set into the lawn and shows a low raised edge. A FlatGround, from €699, finishes level with the grass and so catches far less wind than a trampoline on legs.
Both mean digging, and both depend on how your ground drains. An installer has to judge that in your own garden. A trampoline on legs asks for none of it.
Delivery to Belfast
A trampoline is delivered on a pallet through The Pallet Network. In Belfast and on the Co. Antrim side the haulier is Am-Transport, from Larne. For Co. Down addresses such as Holywood, Bangor and Newtownards it is Allen Logistics of Moira. The pallet is left at the kerbside, you move the boxes to the garden and the pallet is yours.
Every trampoline here is over the €300 mark, so delivery is free. If the model is in stock it is delivered within 48 hours. If not, 7 to 10 days is typical, and we confirm the date when you order. Report any damage within 24 hours. The delivery page has the rest.
Putting it up
We supply and deliver. We do not assemble. BERG's manual covers assembly, and we can pass on the details of an independent installer who will quote you directly. See who installs a trampoline in Belfast.

Frequently Asked Questions
What does an above-ground trampoline cost, delivered to Belfast?+
From €449 to €4,999, with the safety net in every price and delivery free. By range, Favorit begins at €449, Champion at €969, Elite at €1,449 and Pro Bouncer at €3,659. Prices are in euro because you order on TrampolinesIreland.com.
What is the smallest trampoline for a small Belfast garden?+
The BERG Favorit 200, a round trampoline 200cm (6.5ft) across, at €449. Remember the space around it: BERG asks for 2 m clear at the sides and 7 m overhead. Measure the level part of the garden, take the clearance off, and see what is left.
Can a trampoline go in a paved back yard?+
Be careful with that. nidirect advises against putting a trampoline on a hard surface such as concrete or tarmac without absorbent safety matting, and ground anchors do not hold in paving, concrete or gravel. A trampoline on legs is at its best on a level lawn. If your yard is all hard surface, ring us before you order.
Should a trampoline in Belfast be anchored?+
BERG advises anchoring a trampoline, and checking the anchors after a storm. We sell 2 anchor kits from €55, shown on this page. Before a heavy storm, BERG also suggests taking off the safety net and the padding.
From what age can children use a garden trampoline?+
nidirect, the Northern Ireland government website, says a child should be at least six, that only one child should be on at a time with an adult supervising, and that a safety net should always be used. It also says garden trampolines are not suitable for somersaults.
Do you assemble the trampoline?+
No. We supply and deliver, and BERG's manual covers assembly. If you would like it done for you, we can put you in touch with an independent installer, who quotes you directly.
Will a trampoline on legs fit your garden?
Send a couple of photos and the rough size of the level ground. We will tell you the largest size that fits with BERG's clearance, and give you a delivered price. It is free.
